WDBC Emergency Relief is a local organisation set up to provide assistance to Haweksbury residents in need or financial crisis. Whether it’s a food hamper to tie you over until your next pay day, or vouchers to help pay phone or electricity bills, Emergency Relief is here to help.

Food Hampers

Food Hampers are available to pick up on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 9am and 1pm and must be booked in prior so our volunteers can have one ready for you.

Please use the form below to book in your food hamper.

We can provide food hampers that cater to different food allergies or intollerances, for adults, children & babies, and for big or small families. Just let us know your requirements in the comments.

For all other relief services, please contact the church office and let us know how we can best serve you.

Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA)

If you’re experiencing financial hardship and finding it difficult to pay your utility bills, you can apply for an EAPA voucher. EAPA vouchers are sent electronically to your energy provider and added to your home gas or electricity account.

EAPA vouchers are available by appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Voucher types and amounts will be issued at the discretion of the caseworker based on the outcome of the interview and how many vouchers have been issued in the last twelve months.

Phone Vouchers

WDBC Emergency Relief can also assist by providing vouchers to help pay your phone bill.
Available via appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and are issued at the discretion of the caseworker.
